About Our Founder

 

Early life - Born and raised in Mumbai, Dr Ashni Choksey Mehta graduated from the eminent G.D.Pol Foundation (Yerela Medical Trust Dental College), Navi Mumbai. Due to high grades in the final year, Dr Ashni was selected to complete her extensive internship from Government Dental College at MUMBAI, CST. She completed her Fellowship in Aesthetic Dentistry in March 2012.

Start of practice - After practicing under eminent senior doctors, In March 2012, She started her own practice in a very well known polyclinic at Walkeshwar, South Mumbai, called as Alldoctors which was started by family physicians, Dr Mahesh Kapadia and Dr Saumil Kapadia. She had an extremely busy dental practice there and got great recognition in the area due to her extremely honest and ethical dental approach. She was always know to have a gentle hand while operating. In 2018, Dr Ashni along with her husband, Dr Yash Mehta, also a dentist started Divinity Dental Care in June 2018.

Further Study- In 2019, Dr Ashni began to pursue her Fellowship in Pediatric Restorative Dentistry as she always enjoyed working with her pediatric patients, in order to upgrade her dental skills with children. She also presented a scientific paper in the state dental conference in December 2019 Dr. Ashni has completed a UK based Advanced Dental Leadership Programme in May 2020.

Dental awareness- Dr Ashni believes in preventive and community dentistry due to the lacking dental awareness prevalent in the country and has collaborated with various schools, activity centres, NGOs, Social groups , clubs to organize camps to spread dental awareness amongst all age groups. She helps in her way by doing dental talks and dental check up camps. She has been published in newspapers and club magazines for the same.

Dr Ashni has been the Ex. President of a leading International Business networking organization.

Consultation practice- Dr Ashni also consults at Saifee hospital and in Chembur.

Divinity Dental Care clinic is a state of the art boutique dental clinic located on one of the most plush areas of South Mumbai, Walkeshwar. The clinic is conceptually designed to create a very calm, soothing and positive atmosphere for patients of all ages.

Divinity dental care is designed to appeal all the five senses of the human body keeping in mind the theme, divinity.
SIGHT- a beautiful divine painting of Lord Buddha in an extremely soothing pastel backdrop.
SMELL- sweet fragrance of lemon grass or lavender to appeal to the sense of smell.
SOUND- a Soft divine chant or soothing music is always playing to add to the power of positivity and divinity.
TASTE- Fresh herbal tea offered to its patients in the waiting area.
TOUCH- A soft hand that’s prays to heal the affected teeth while treating the teeth.

All the above enable to create a Zen environment to pschycologically ease the patient during a dental treatment.

As our founder is a firm believer in the power or positivity and God, the clinic interiors are made according to Vaastu and canvas paintings of Lord Buddha along with a lotus and a Namaskar painted by a well known artist are strategically placed in front of one of the 2 dental chairs in a white and pastel shade backdrop to enable a patient to connect with them during treatment.

The clinic has a creatively designed waiting area to keep the patients occupied with some positive books , magazines and some dental education material playing on television opposite the waiting area. Fun quotes have been used on the glass doors of the entire clinic to inspire the patients and the pediatric patients.

For pediatric patients, there is an inbuilt entertainment system to keep their mind occupied with their favourite shows, cartoons or movies while the treatment is goes on. Tell-Show -Do , Distraction, Constant engaging communication and modeling methods are used by our extremely efficient doctors and friendly staff to ensure the appoinments go smooth for the children.

Our modern clinic is equipped with low dose digital xrays, efficient sterilization equipment a fast curing lights. Our clinic is equipped with latest dental materials to deliver preventive,minimally invasive, conservative and definitive treatment to patients of all ages. We also have a lead apron and a thyroid collar to reduce exposure to radiation which is very helpful especially for pregnant women or other medically compromised patients.
